My Laptop freezes on account login startup?Blue Screen? HELP!!?

So, I start my computer, start windows on normal mode. When I click my name, It will load for a while, then Freezes. Like, One out of ten times I startup, I get a blue screen. The most it will go to is, it goes on my wallpaper loads icons, then it freezes. On Safe Mode, I’m obviously limited to do stuff. I have AVG 2011 Trial for like 10 more days. I’ve ran the virus check. But I don’t know how to access it and get rid of them. Somehow, My computer firewall, was off. so maybe that was the problem. And another thing I’m doubting is i updated two updates. My audio system Update and my “Windows Malicious Software Tool Update” I have an Hp Pavillion Dv7 1240us. ( Entertainment Pc) Do Not tell me to restore my computer because I have a shit load of files I really need. I’m scared If I lose my programs, My songs, songs I’ve made (I’m Junior Artist)

A) Your laptop is infected with a virus,
B) in safe mode you can back up your files
C) WHY ARE YOU USING AVG USE AVIRA
D) since Avg is stupid and doesn’t really let you check and get rid of viruses, what I suggest you do is, go onto the internet, download Avira (the free version works really well) and run it’s scan. It automatically deletes malicious malware for you, then if you’re still having problems you need to download PC Tools Firewall Plus, and run it’s scans. This is a great firewall, when you first download it, it likes to pop-up for everything, but once you get going it’s fine.
E) If none of that works, back up your NEEDED STUFF ONLY onto an external harddrive or whatever you have and do a system restore, don’t worry about programs (unless you bought them and if that’s the case shoot me an e-mail and I can probably help you back those up) because those can be redownloaded off the internet. Your files on the other hand cannot, that’s why it’s important to back up everything you need. The problem with taking extra stuff is that you may not necessarily know what’s infected, and you might accidentally take that too, and then you’re just screwed.
